I'm getting into kiteboarding and I was wondering if anyone else on here was into it. I just bought a board and harness this weekend and now I'm looking for kites and people to learn from. I would really like to learn from someone without having to pay for lessons.

Any idea what it would be like to kite down the wenatchee? I havent seen it yet but if SUP can do it why not kiteboards?

I am no kiteboarder so don't take my word for it, but the bridges seem like they could be a bit of a hazard ... I guess you could jump them but that would be pretty dang high....

if you ever run the truss a good place to start would be hood river, tons of them folks down there. Also I was told to learn on a "practice kite" on the beach sans board, learn how to control it, then get on the water. And I agree with James.
The line will become apparent

This is true, I forgot about the bridges. I was just thinking of launching off the waves in snowblind.

no I totally could see how that would be sweet. In fact there are a few spots on the Thompson where dudes would jet ski up and hit waves and go flying!!! The bridge thing would be something you would want to work out though... Imagine not planning for that until you came flying up to one...

If you caught it right, it might sail you up to the right, where you stand a chance of getting hit by a train.
