The 2008 qp Big Air Competition
The last competition this year will be a Big Air ramp event which
will start with a short meeting for competitors at 12:00 pm on Sun MAY
25th. Meet at the Announcement area of the CampSite. The cost to
compete in this event is $10.00. (If you pay for one competition you are covered for any other competition without additional charge)
Competitor's registered in this trip will be preselected for the time
slot of their choice in the order of joining, this will be determined
during the pre-event meeting. After that the time slots will be
determined by first come first serve basis.
The event will be judged by a panel of 3 judges who will be
announced on the day of the competition. I have no clue who the judges are going to be yet. The following score card will
serve as a guideline for pointing used during judging.

The
event will consist of three heats, each allowing the competitor 1 attempt to throw a trick. The 5
paddlers with the highest score will enter a finals round. The finals
round will feature 1 heat with a 1 trick for each finalist.
The winners will be ranked by high score
First Place = Bliss Stick RAD Freestyle Kayak
Second Place = Snapdragon Skirt or Nookie V Shock (Winners Choice)
Third Place = Gerber Rescue Knife from Aquasports
