What are folks planning? Any desire to get out of town? Tummy? Something in Oregon? Pray for Rain?
Thoughts?

Canada sounds cold right now, though I am giving the trip some consideration.

Leif,
Why would you leave when the Slough Slog race is going on this Saturday in Woodinville. It's going to be different and fun. No registration fee. Come on out.

I have an itch to do some creeking; however, if I stay local, I'll try to come out...

Oh, please Leif, please come out. I just got the Woodinville Weekly to show up to the event. I also told him the event was partly to raise awareness for a play park in the area. So, for the good of playparks, please, please come out. Just think: You can still go creeking even if you do do the race. The Slough is on the way to both Robe and the Skykomish drainage.

I'm leaning heavily in that direction, Christian. It would be a P.F.D. (never paddled the Sammamish River (or Slough, if you prefer), as well as it would be another day on the river (my personal goal this year is 90 river days-- I don't count pool time or lake/sea kayaking).
However, another paddler I know has a unique offer as far as river trips go, so the decision will be tough. I'm supposed to work Saturday, but that option is most unappealing. We'll see.
