Glad you are okay and sorry about your boat. Icicle does have some pin potential at low flows for sure but I guess you know that. Glad you are all good and thanks for sharing the carnage.

damn Dan, that's some f*cked up sh*t.  Damn fine choice in soundtrack.  And funny as all get down to see the throw bag drop short more than once.  Correct me if I'm wrong-  that rapid is just below house drop.....

I've used that method a few times. It takes a couple repetitions. And some friendly hammerin'.

Dam, Dan- you sure are hard on boats...
Like my old man used to say:
"that boy's hard on equipment"

that sucks.
It's also why I run Icicle with water in it. Pretty clean over all then.

The vid doesn't really describe much- did you get hurt at all? Looking at the boat it seems as though you had to squeeze out of it...

I was fine. It didn't get sketchy until I pulled my skirt and the boat filled up and started to settle deeper. That was a bit wild. It was the ledge directly below House Rapid/Drop.

Ya, I guess I am kinda rough on boats these days:( That's how it goes I guess. I do enjoy Icicle with more water, it was too low to boof Ricochet rock. But still fun!

On that same note, HUGE prop's to Jessie McCarthy and Chris Jager. Both ran middle Icicle for their respective first times this past weekend. Not to mention, helped unpin a boat at dusk!

Damn, dan. glad you are ok. this just reinforces the idea that you have to stay focused where ever you are at  when on the river. I know personally, I tend to relax a little after getting through the House Rapid Ledge, not a good idea.

Everything flows until it doesnt.

To be honest, I wasn't taking it very seriously because levels were so low. Lesson learned.
